This Week on The Farm
Growing Opportunities is a wonderful team of urban farmers and volunteers dedicated to sharing agricultural skills, growing good food and supporting Nanaimo’s food system. They support the Good Food Box program by providing as much of our produce as possible through the year at discounted rates.
“This past week we’ve braved heavy rains to continue planting tomatoes, peppers, squash, eggplants, cucumbers and zucchini. Any spare hands have been busy weeding and prepping beds.
We still have a lot of transplants for sale at our Saturday Farm Market at Five Acres Farm so please stop by! All are welcome to stroll around the fields and check out what’s growing.”
